Ambriel Compliance Intelligence Platform

This is an n8n community node package. It lets you use Ambriel's Compliance Intelligence Platform in your n8n workflows — AML screening, company intelligence (KYB), fraud detection, and identity lookups.

Ambriel is a compliance intelligence platform that helps businesses screen entities, assess company risk, detect transaction fraud, and verify identities through a single API.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation

  1. In n8n, go to Settings → Community Nodes.
  2. Select Install.
  3. Enter @ambriel-io/n8n-nodes-ambriel as the npm package name.
  4. Click Install.

Requires n8n v1.0+ (recommended: v1.30+).

Credentials

Ambriel uses API key authentication. All nodes share a single credential.

Obtaining an API Key

  1. Sign in to your Ambriel Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings → API Keys.
  3. Create a new API key and copy it.

Credential Fields

The credential is automatically tested on creation using GET /v1/me.

Tested against n8n v1.30+ and the Ambriel API v1.

Nodes & Operations

The package exposes a single Ambriel node with 5 resources and 17 operations. Every operation supports Simplified and Raw output modes.

Resource: Company

Search, assess, and retrieve company intelligence data.

Search GET /v1/kyb/search Search companies by name, registration number, or tax ID
Lookup GET /v1/kyb/company/{countryCode}/number/{value} Get full company details by registration number
Lookup by VAT GET /v1/kyb/company/{countryCode}/vat/{value} Get full company details by VAT number
Assess POST /v1/kyb/evaulate Evaluate company risk with configurable scoring strategy
Get Report GET /v1/kyb/assessment/{id}/report Download assessment report as signed URL or binary PDF

Supported countries: UK, DE, FR, NL, BE, ES, LU, RO, PL

Assessment parameters:

  • Strategy — SUM_OF_RISK_SCORES, NORMALIZED_SCORE, or MAX_RISK_WINS
  • Categories — Filter by risk rule categories (ownership, jurisdiction, financial, operational, reputation, aml_sanctions, other)
  • Generate PDF — Optionally trigger a PDF report on assessment

Resource: AML

Screen entities against sanctions, crime, PEP (Politically Exposed Persons), and watchlists.

Screening inputs:

  • Entity Type — Person or Company
  • Name — Full name of the person or entity
  • Country — Nationality (person) or registration country (company). ISO Alpha-2 code.
  • Date of Birth — YYYY-MM-DD format (persons only)

Resource: Fraud

Score transactions and detect fraud using Ambriel's scoring engine.

Operation Method Endpoint Description
Score Transaction POST /v1/transactions/ Score a transaction using fraud detection rules
Get Transaction GET /v1/transactions/{id} Retrieve a previously scored transaction
Transaction Action POST /v1/transactions/{id}/actions Record a post-transaction action (refund, chargeback, etc.)

Scoring inputs:

  • Transaction ID, Type (order/transaction/login), Action Type (purchase/refund/transfer, etc.)
  • Amount & Currency (ISO 4217)
  • Customer — ID, name, email, IP address
  • Additional fields — Payment mode, provider, merchant ID, details URL

Perform quick lookups against Ambriel's data sources.

Output Modes

Every operation supports two output modes:

Mode Description
Simplified (default) Returns a structured set of key fields relevant to the operation
Raw API Response Returns the complete JSON response from the Ambriel API

Select the mode via the Output Mode dropdown in each node's parameters.

Binary PDF Support

The Company → Get Report operation can download assessment reports directly as binary PDF files, making them available to subsequent nodes for upload to Dropbox, Google Drive, Slack, email, or any other n8n-compatible service.

To enable this, set Download as Binary to true and specify the Binary Property name (default: data).
