Summary

Provides an OCI Generative AI chat model for use by connected n8n AI nodes. Select an on-demand chat model and optionally set a compartment and generation parameters; the model sends chat requests to OCI and returns generated text and any tool calls to the calling AI workflow.

Inputs

  • Compartment ID — OCI compartment used for the request. If blank, the node uses the tenancy OCID from its OCI credentials.
  • On Demand Model Name or ID (required) — Choose an OCI Generative AI chat model or provide its name or ID with an expression.
  • Options — Optional generation settings: Temperature (default 0.2), Top P (default 1), Top K (default -1, disabled), Frequency Penalty (default 0), and Presence Penalty (default 0).

Output shape

An AI Language Model connection, used by connected AI nodes rather than returning ordinary workflow items.

The model response contains generated text and may include tool calls when tools are bound by the calling AI workflow. OCI credentials are required.
