CallRoute nodes for n8n

Use CallRoute in your n8n workflows: send texts from your business numbers, keep contacts in step with your other tools, pull call transcripts and AI summaries, and start a workflow the moment a text comes in or a call is missed.

Install

In n8n, open Settings > Community Nodes, choose Install, and enter:

@callroute/n8n-nodes-callroute

Connect your account

  1. In CallRoute, open Settings > Developers and choose Create key. The API needs the Pro or Scale plan.
  2. In n8n, add a CallRoute API credential and paste the key.

The key acts as the teammate who made it. It sees what they see, and it can only text from numbers that belong to them. A read only key can read but not send or change anything.

Resource Operations
Message Send (text or WhatsApp), Get
Conversation Get, Get Many, Get Messages
Call Get (with transcript and AI summary), Get Many (all, missed, voicemails)
Contact Create, Update, Get, Get Many (search), Delete

Account Get

Sending uses the same rules as the CallRoute app: opt outs, texting registration, plan limits and your balance. Set an Idempotency Key when a workflow can retry, so the same text is never sent twice.

CallRoute Trigger

Starts a workflow on any of these events: message received, sent, delivered or failed; call completed, missed, transcribed or summarized; voicemail received or transcribed; contact created, updated or deleted.

When you turn the workflow on, the trigger subscribes itself in CallRoute. When you turn it off, it removes the subscription. Every delivery is signed, and the trigger checks the signature before it runs anything. Your n8n address must be reachable over https from the internet.
