Start Company Enrichment
AI-generatedSummary
Starts an asynchronous DataMerge company enrichment job by domain and/or company name, and returns the API's response (job info) for later retrieval.
Inputs
- Domain — Company domain (e.g. google.com, www.google.com, or a full URL). Either Domain or Company Name must be provided.
- Company Name — Company legal name to match. Best combined with Country Codes. Either this or Domain is required.
- Country Codes — Multiple ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes; returns the first matching company from these countries. Cannot be combined with Global Ultimate.
- Global Ultimate — Return the global ultimate parent instead of the matched company. Works only with domain enrichment, not Company Name, and not with Country Codes. Always sent in the request (default false).
- Webhook URL — URL the results are sent to on completion. If omitted, poll with Get Company Enrichment Result.
- List Slug — Slug of a DataMerge list to add the enriched companies to.
- Skip If Exists — When adding to a list, skip domains already in the list to avoid duplicate credit charges. Sent only when true.
Output shape
One output item per input item, containing the raw JSON response from POST /v1/company/enrich (the node describes it as returning a job ID).
The call does not return enrichment results itself. Pass the job ID to Get Company Enrichment Result to fetch them, unless a webhook is set. Throws an error if both Domain and Company Name are empty. With Continue On Fail, failed items output an error message instead.
Examples
Example 1: Enrich a company by domain and poll later
Domain = {{$json.website}}; leave the other fields default. Feed the returned job ID into Get Company Enrichment Result.
Example 2: Match a company by name within specific countries and save to a list
Company Name = 'Siemens AG'; Country Codes = DE, AT; List Slug = my-companies; Skip If Exists = true.
Example 3: Find the parent company of a domain with a webhook callback
Domain = example.com; Global Ultimate = true; Webhook URL = https://your-app.com/webhook.
