LoomCycle Channel

AI-generated

Summary

Publish JSON messages to a LoomCycle channel, read messages with subscribe or peek, advance a committed cursor with ack, or manage runtime channels. The channel actions require LoomCycle API credentials; user-scoped actions use the configured Default User ID when User ID is blank.

Inputs

  • Operation (required) — Choose Publish, Subscribe, Peek, Ack, Create Channel, Update Channel, Delete Channel, or List Channels.
  • Channel Name or ID (required) — For Publish, Subscribe, Peek, or Ack, select a channel or enter its name or ID.
  • Scope — For message actions, choose Global (one shared queue) or User (a separate queue per user). Defaults to Global.
  • User ID — For User scope, identifies the queue. If blank, the node uses the credential's Default User ID; execution fails if neither is set.
  • Payload (required) — For Publish, the JSON value to store in the channel.
  • Deliver At — For Publish, an optional ISO 8601 timestamp for deferred delivery; blank means immediate delivery.
  • Additional Fields — For Subscribe or Peek, optionally set From Cursor and Max Messages (default 10). Subscribe also accepts Wait Ms (default 0), the maximum long-poll wait when the queue is empty; Peek ignores it.
  • Cursor (required) — For Ack, the cursor to commit. It must move forward; an older cursor causes a conflict.
  • Channel Name (required) — For Create, Update, or Delete Channel, the runtime channel name. It cannot collide with a YAML-declared channel; Update and Delete require an existing runtime channel.
  • Channel Settings — For Create Channel, optionally set default TTL seconds, description, maximum retained messages, informational period and publisher, queue scope (agent, global, or user), and semantic (queue or topic).
  • Update Fields — For Update Channel, set description, semantic, default TTL, or maximum retained messages. The node sends only fields supplied.

Output shape

One n8n item per input item, containing the operation's JSON response.

Publish, Subscribe, Peek, Ack, Create Channel, Update Channel, and List Channels return the LoomCycle response. Subscribe makes one long-poll request and advances the committed cursor when it returns a non-empty batch. Peek does not advance the cursor; pair it with processing and Ack for explicit cursor commits. Delete Channel returns {"ok":true,"name":"…"}; deleting a runtime channel also removes its persisted messages and cursors. Errors fail the node unless Continue On Fail is enabled, in which case the item contains an error field.
