Documentation

Mallary n8n Community Node

The official node for n8n that integrates with the Mallary.ai API. Automate your social media posting across 10 platforms from n8n.

Use it to post social media content, schedule content, upload media, read comments, reply to comments, check analytics, and start workflows from Mallary webhook events.

Mallary connects your workflows to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, Threads, Snapchat, and X from one API.

What you can do

  • Send one post to many social platforms
  • Schedule posts for later
  • Upload image and video files to Mallary
  • Use a different caption for each platform
  • Get the final platform post ID and post URL when Mallary has it
  • List comments from published posts
  • Send your own comment replies
  • Pull social media analytics into reports
  • Start n8n workflows when Mallary publishes, fails, or posts an AI auto reply

Install

Self-hosted n8n users can install the package from npm:

npm install @mallary/n8n-nodes-mallary

After install, restart n8n and search for Mallary in the node picker.

This package is maintained by Mallary.ai. It is an official Mallary community node. Do not call it an n8n verified node until it is approved by n8n.

Credentials

Sign-up at Mallary.ai and get your API key from your Mallary dashboard. Add it to the Mallary API credential in n8n.

Keep your API key private. It can publish posts, reply to comments, read account data, and manage webhooks. Store it in n8n credentials only. Do not paste it into workflow notes, logs, chat transcripts, or screenshots.

Main node

The Mallary node gives n8n workflows access to Mallary actions.

Posts

  • Create or schedule a social media post
  • List grouped posts
  • Get a publishing job
  • Delete a queued or scheduled post before it starts

Creating a post can publish real content to connected social media accounts. Check the profile, platforms, message, media, and schedule before running a workflow.

Media

  • Upload n8n binary data to Mallary
  • Return a Mallary media URL for posting

Media uploads send file bytes to Mallary storage. Do not upload private, regulated, or customer-sensitive files unless that is intended.

Comments

  • List comments on a Mallary-published post
  • Reply to a comment with the exact message you provide

Mallary does not write the reply for this action. Your workflow supplies the text.

Analytics

  • Get analytics for recent posts
  • Get analytics for one Mallary post ID

Profiles and platforms

  • List Mallary connection profiles
  • Create or rename profiles
  • List connected platforms
  • Disconnect a platform when you confirm the action

Disconnecting a platform removes Mallary access until the user reconnects it.

Settings and webhooks

  • Read or update profile settings
  • Create, list, or delete Mallary webhooks

Changing settings can affect AI auto replies and brand context. Confirm the target profile before saving changes.

Mallary Trigger

The Mallary Trigger node starts an n8n workflow when Mallary sends a webhook.

Supported events:

  • post.scheduled
  • post.published
  • post.failed
  • post.partial
  • auto_reply.posted
  • *

When a workflow is activated, the trigger registers the n8n webhook URL with Mallary. When the workflow is deactivated, it removes that Mallary webhook.

Platform options

The post action includes common fields for platform-specific messages. You can also send advanced platform_options JSON for fields like:

  • Instagram post type
  • TikTok direct post options
  • YouTube title and visibility
  • Pinterest board ID
  • Reddit subreddit
  • platform-specific captions

Explicit n8n fields override matching values in the advanced JSON box.

Good workflow ideas

  • Turn a new blog post into social posts for every channel
  • Upload a video, then schedule a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn campaign
  • Send new comments to Slack for review
  • Let your AI step draft a reply, then send that exact reply through Mallary
  • Put social media analytics into a weekly report
  • Alert your team when a post fails or only partially publishes

Requirements

  • n8n that supports community nodes
  • Node.js 22 or newer for package development
  • An account from Mallary.ai
  • Connected social media accounts in the Mallary dashboard
  • A Mallary API key
