Summary

Exchange a short-lived Instagram User access token for a long-lived token using the Instagram Platform access token endpoint.

Inputs

• Short-Lived Access Token (required) — The short-lived Instagram User access token to exchange for a long-lived token. This is usually obtained from the login flow.
• App Secret (required) — Instagram App Secret from the Meta App Dashboard. Required to securely exchange a short-lived access token for a long-lived token.

Output shape

a single record containing the long-lived access token and related information

The operation returns the response from the Instagram API's access token exchange endpoint. It returns a JSON object representing the long-lived token details. Errors related to invalid token or app secret are surfaced as operation errors.

Examples

Example 1: Use this operation to exchange a valid short-lived Instagram User access token and your app secret for a long-lived token, which can then be used for extended API access.

Provide the short-lived access token and the Instagram App Secret parameters, then execute the operation to retrieve the long-lived token.
