Summary

Generate a new n8n workflow from a natural language description using AI.

Inputs

  • Workflow Description (required) — Describe the workflow you want to create in natural language (e.g., 'Create a workflow that sends me a Slack message every morning at 9 AM with the weather forecast for London').
  • Output Format (required) — Choose how to output the generated workflow: as JSON, a downloadable JSON file, or both.
  • Advanced Options — Configure advanced settings such as including similar workflow examples, node documentation, creativity level (temperature), as well as toggling workflow validation and automatic fixing of common issues.

Output shape

An object containing the generated workflow as JSON and/or a downloadable JSON file encoded in base64, depending on output format selection.

The output includes the generated workflow JSON, usage cost details, validation results (if enabled), instructions for importing the workflow into n8n, and optionally a download file with a base64-encoded JSON export. If validation is enabled and issues are found, the node can auto-fix these if selected. The downloadable file includes a data URL and filename for easy import.
