Documentation

n8n-nodes-amfs

This is an n8n community node for AMFS (Agent Memory File System) — versioned, provenance-aware shared memory for AI agents.

AMFS gives your n8n workflows persistent, version-controlled memory that agents can read, write, search, and explain. Every write is versioned, every decision is traceable, and confidence scores update automatically based on outcomes.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

Credentials

You need access to AMFS and an API key created.

  1. Server URL: https://amfs-login.sense-lab.ai
  2. API Key: Your AMFS API key value

The credential test validates connectivity by calling GET /api/v1/health.

Operations

Memory

  • Read — Read the latest version of a memory entry
  • Write — Create or update a memory entry (creates a new version)
  • List — List all memory entries, optionally filtered by entity path
  • Search — Search across memory entries with filters (query, confidence, agent, etc.)
  • History — Get the full version history of a memory entry

Agent

  • List — List all agents that have written to memory
  • Recall — Read an agent's own memory entry for a key
  • Get Entries — List all memory entries written by a specific agent
  • Read From — Cross-agent read: access another agent's memory entry
  • Timeline — Get an agent's event timeline

Outcome

  • Commit — Commit an outcome to back-propagate confidence and persist the decision trace
  • List — List recorded outcome events

Trace

  • List — List persisted decision traces from past sessions
  • Get — Retrieve a full decision trace by ID

Context

  • Record — Record a decision or external context in the causal chain
  • Explain — Explain the session's causal chain of reads, writes, and decisions

Briefing

  • Get — Get a compiled Memory Cortex briefing digest for an entity

Stats

  • Get — Get an overview of memory statistics (entry count, agents, entities)
