Action node for interacting with the Gateway.

The Gateway can automatically resolve a phone number to the corresponding WhatsApp LID when required.

Augusto WA Trigger

Starts an n8n workflow automatically when a supported event occurs.

  • QR Updated
  • Authenticated
  • Authentication Failure

Installation

Install through n8n Community Nodes using:

n8n-nodes-augusto-wa-gateway

Or install with npm:

Credentials

Create an Augusto WA Gateway API credential.

Base URL

Same host:

http://localhost:3000

Use the same API key configured in Augusto WA Gateway.

QR Code

The QR code is only available while the session status is qr.

If the session is already connected and the status is ready, qr_not_available is expected.

Webhooks

When an n8n workflow using Augusto WA Trigger is activated, the Trigger registers a webhook in Augusto WA Gateway.

When the workflow is deactivated, the webhook registration is removed.

Security

Use a strong API key.

Do not expose Augusto WA Gateway directly to the public internet without authentication, HTTPS, and appropriate network protections.

Important

This project uses WhatsApp Web automation.

It is not the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API.

Changes to WhatsApp Web can affect compatibility.
