Summary

Send a text message from the bot to a specified chat or channel, optionally including various types of reply markups such as force reply, inline keyboard, reply keyboard, or keyboard removal.

Inputs

• Chat ID (required) — Unique identifier for the target chat or username of the target channel where the message will be sent.
• Text (required) — The text content of the message to be sent by the bot.
• Reply Markup — Additional interface options to include with the message such as Force Reply, Inline Keyboard, Reply Keyboard, or Reply Keyboard Remove to customize user interaction.
• Force Reply — Configuration options when selecting Force Reply markup type, including whether to show reply interface instantly and whether to apply it selectively to specific users.
• Inline Keyboard — An inline keyboard that appears alongside the message, allowing multiple rows and buttons with text, URL, and callback data for interactivity.
• Reply Keyboard — A custom reply keyboard with multiple rows and buttons, including options to remove after use, resize, and show selectively.
• Reply Keyboard Remove — Options to remove a custom keyboard, optionally targeting specific users only.
• Additional Fields — Optional parameters such as Reply To Message ID for replying to a specific message and Disable Notification to send messages silently.

Output shape

a single JSON object per input item reflecting the sent message response from the bot API

Returns the JSON response from Basalam Bot API for each sent message. If an error occurs per item, returns an error message in the output for that item if 'Continue on Fail' is enabled; otherwise throws an error and stops execution.

Examples

Example 1: Send a simple text message to a chat

Set Chat ID to the target chat, Text to the message content, and leave Reply Markup as None

Example 2: Send a message with an inline keyboard

Set Reply Markup to Inline Keyboard and configure rows and buttons with text and URLs or callback data

Example 3: Send a message requesting a forced reply from the user

Set Reply Markup to Force Reply and configure the force_reply and selective fields as needed
