CollabaiAgentNode for n8n

What is CollabaiAgentNode?

CollabaiAgentNode is a custom integration node for n8n, the popular open-source workflow automation tool. This node allows you to connect and interact with the Collab.AI Agent platform, enabling powerful automation and integration scenarios within your n8n workflows.

Features

  • Seamless integration with Collab.AI Agent APIs
  • Custom credential support
  • Easy to use in any n8n workflow

Installation

  1. Install via npm
On your n8n server (where n8n is installed), run:
    cd ~/.n8n
    npm install n8n-nodes-collabaiagent

Note: If you are using Docker, see the Docker section below.

  2. Restart n8n
After installation, restart your n8n instance to load the new node.

    • If running as a service:
      systemctl restart n8n
    • If running in a terminal:
      pkill -f n8n
      n8n start
    • If using Docker:
      docker restart

Usage

  1. Open the n8n Editor UI.
  2. Create a new workflow.
  3. Search for "CollabaiAgent" in the node list.
  4. Drag the CollabaiAgentNode into your workflow.
  5. Configure the node:
    • Set up your Collab.AI credentials (you may need to add them in the credentials section).
    • Fill in the required parameters for your use case.
  6. Connect the node to your workflow and activate as needed.

Example Workflow

A simple example of how you might use the node in a workflow:

Webhook Trigger → CollabaiAgentNode → Set → Respond

  • Webhook Trigger: Triggers the workflow via webhook.
  • CollabaiAgentNode: Interacts with Collab.AI.
  • Set: Processes the response.
  • Respond: Returns or uses the result.

Docker Users

If you are running n8n in Docker, you can install the node by extending the official image:

Dockerfile:
FROM n8nio/n8n

Install the custom node

RUN npm install n8n-nodes-collabaiagent

Then build and run your custom image.

Custom Extensions Folder (Alternative)

If you prefer, you can copy the built node files into a custom directory and set the following in your .env:

N8N_CUSTOM_EXTENSIONS=./custom

Place the node files in custom/CollabaiAgentNode/ and credentials in custom/CollabaiAgentNode/credentials/.

Notes

  • This node is not yet listed in the official n8n Community Nodes directory. You must install it manually as described above.
  • For help with credentials or advanced configuration, see the node’s documentation in the n8n UI after installation.
