Discord Bot TriggerInstall

Summary

Listen for a selected Discord bot event and emit each matching event as an n8n item. Choose from messages, reactions, interactions, member and moderation events, threads, voice state changes, scheduled events, and poll votes; the default is new channel messages.

Inputs

• Discord bot credentials (required) — Connect with the required Discord bot credentials.
• Event (required) — Select the Discord event to listen for.
• Guild Names or IDs — For guild events, restrict listening to selected guilds; leave empty for all.
• Channel Names or IDs — For channel messages, reactions, message edits or deletions, and poll votes, optionally filter by channel.
• Parent Channel Names or IDs — For thread events, optionally filter by parent channel.
• Voice Channel Names or IDs — For voice state updates, optionally filter by channel. A move matches if either the old or new channel is selected.
• From Role Names or IDs — For channel messages and reactions, optionally require the member to have at least one selected role.
• Pattern — For channel or direct messages, choose every message, a bot mention or reply, or a text match using equals, starts with, contains, ends with, or regex. Defaults to every message.
• Value — Text or regex used by the selected message pattern.
• Case Sensitive — For message pattern matching, defaults to false.
• Message ID — For reaction events, optionally filter to a specific message ID.
• Emoji Name — For reaction events, optionally filter by emoji name.
• Slash Command Name — For slash commands, optionally filter by command name; a leading slash is accepted. Leave empty for all.
• Custom ID — For component interactions or modal submissions, optionally filter by exact custom ID.
• Command Name — For context menu commands, optionally filter by exact command name.
• Command Type — For context menu commands, choose any, user, or message; defaults to any.
• Auto Acknowledge Interactions — Automatically defer slash command, context menu, component, or modal interactions so the workflow has time to run. Defaults to true.
• Acknowledge as Ephemeral — Make automatically deferred interaction replies ephemeral. Defaults to false.
• Trigger on Bot Messages — Include bot-authored messages and bot reactions. Defaults to false.

Output shape

A stream of individual n8n items, one per matching Discord event.

Each item is a JSON object whose fields depend on the selected event and include an event type. Message, reaction, channel, role, guild, and command filters apply only to the event types for which they are shown. Interaction events may be automatically deferred; this operation emits interaction data but does not itself send a reply.
