Domain Lookup

AI-generated

Summary

Look up registration details for a domain, subdomain, or HTTP(S) URL using RDAP or WHOIS. For each input item, return normalized registration data and optionally include the item’s JSON under a chosen output field.

Inputs

  • Domain (required) — Domain, subdomain, or HTTP(S) URL to look up. The node normalizes it to its registrable domain; input must be an ASCII hostname, and email addresses, IPs, localhost, wildcard domains, and IDNs are rejected.
  • Include Input Data — Optionally add the current input item’s JSON to the output under Input Field Name (default input). Include all fields or choose Selected Fields and provide comma or newline separated paths. Selected Fields must contain at least one valid path. The output field name must use letters, numbers, or underscores, start with a letter or underscore, and not conflict with a result field.
  • China Domain Delay — For .cn lookups, wait this many milliseconds before querying CNNIC WHOIS. The UI default is 1000 ms.

Output shape

One output item per input item, containing a single domain registration result object.

The result includes asciiDomain, publicSuffix, isRegistered, status, dates (registration, expiry, last change, and data update), expiry (timestamp, days until expiration, and expired flag), nameservers, source, and error. Unavailable registration dates or expiry details are null; not-found lookups return isRegistered: false. Unsupported TLDs and other lookup failures raise an error, except with Continue On Fail enabled, when a failure result is returned with isRegistered: null and an error object. Optional input JSON is added under the configured field name.
