Documentation

n8n-nodes-emag

Community n8n nodes for automating eMAG.ro,
Romania's largest online marketplace.

The first node tracks product prices and fires an alert when a price drops.

eMAG Price Tracker node — config and output

Disclaimer — This is an unofficial package not affiliated with eMAG. It works
by scraping public product pages, so it can break if eMAG changes their HTML.
Intended for personal use (e.g. watching a price before you buy). Respect eMAG's
terms of service and don't hammer their servers.

Nodes

Node What it does
eMAG Price Tracker Scrapes a product page for price, discount, stock and image; keeps a price history and can flag a price drop.

More eMAG-related nodes will be added to this package over time.

Installation

From the n8n UI (recommended)

  1. Go to Settings → Community Nodes → Install.
  2. Enter n8n-nodes-emag and confirm.
  3. The eMAG Price Tracker node appears in the node panel.

With npm

npm install n8n-nodes-emag

(For self-hosted n8n, install into your n8n user folder / custom extensions directory.)

Example workflow

workflows/price-alert-example.json — a daily
schedule → eMAG Price Tracker → IF (price dropped) → alert placeholder. Import it via
Workflows → Import from File and swap the final node for your email/Telegram/Slack
node.

Local development

cd D:\upwork\portofolio\n8n\n8n-nodes-emag
npm install
npm run build

Run inside n8n via Docker (mounts the built package as a custom extension):

docker run -it --rm --name n8n -p 5678:5678 `
  -v n8n_data:/home/node/.n8n `
  -v "D:\upwork\portofolio\n8n\n8n-nodes-emag:/home/node/.n8n/custom/n8n-nodes-emag" `
  -e N8N_CUSTOM_EXTENSIONS="/home/node/.n8n/custom/n8n-nodes-emag" `
  docker.n8n.io/n8nio/n8n

Open http://localhost:5678.

Tests

npm test

Unit tests cover the HTML parser (against real eMAG page snapshots plus synthetic
discount/out-of-stock fixtures) and the node's stateful logic (price history,
30-entry cap, and the price-drop alert thresholds).
