FileToPDFInstall

Summary

Convert a file from an incoming binary field or a public URL into a PDF. Optionally set page orientation, passwords, page ranges, PDF/A format, PDF/UA accessibility, or a password for a protected Office source document.

Inputs

• Input (required) — Choose Binary Property to use a file from an earlier node, or Public URL to download a publicly reachable HTTP(S) file. URLs to private or internal addresses are rejected; this downloads a file and does not render a live web page.
• Input Binary Field (required) — For Binary Property input, enter the incoming binary property name (default data). The source file's extension selects the converter and determines the output PDF filename.
• File URL (required) — For Public URL input, provide the source file's public HTTP(S) URL. Conversion is selected by the file extension.
• Options — Optionally choose landscape orientation, set an output open password or permissions password, limit pages with ranges such as 1-3 or 2,5-7, select a PDF/A format or enable PDF/UA, and provide a source document password for protected Office files.
• Put Output File in Field (required) — Name the output binary property for the generated PDF (default data).

Output shape

One output item per input item, containing PDF binary data and JSON metadata.

The PDF is stored in the configured output binary field. JSON includes filename, pages, fileSize, creditsUsed, and creditsRemaining. Errors stop execution unless Continue On Fail is enabled, in which case the affected item contains an error field.
