Summary

Generate a new UUID v4 session ID or manage a persistent session ID across multiple loop iterations using workflow static data for AI agent workflows.

Inputs

• Mode (required) — Select 'Generate New ID' to create a fresh UUID v4 on each execution, or 'Manage Loop Session' to persist the same session ID across loop iterations.
• Session Key (required) — When using 'Manage Loop Session' mode, specify the key under which the session ID is stored and retrieved from the workflow's static data.
• Reset Session — When using 'Manage Loop Session' mode, optionally force the generation of a new session ID replacing any existing one.

Output shape

A single JSON object per input item containing 'sessionId' (string) with the generated or managed UUID v4 session ID. The output pairs each item with its corresponding input item index, preserving any binary data from the input.

When 'Manage Loop Session' mode is used, the session ID is stored in the workflow static data under the specified Session Key to persist across loop iterations. If 'Reset Session' is true, a new session ID is generated and replaces the stored one. Errors result in a JSON object containing an 'error' field.
