Fetch an AI-generated overview summary and reference information for a specified search query from Google's AI Overview API.
Inputs
- Search Query (required) — The query to fetch the AI Overview for.
- Country Code — Two-letter country code representing the location the search runs from (default 'us').
- Language Code — Two-letter language code for the results (default 'en').
- Location — Optional detailed location to run the search from (e.g., 'Austin, Texas, United States').
- Output — Determines the shape and detail level of the returned data: 'Raw' (all fields), 'Selected Fields' (specific fields chosen), or 'Simplified' (compact overview and references).
- Fields to Include — When 'Selected Fields' output is chosen, select which fields to include in the response (e.g., query, text blocks, references).
- Authentication — The authentication method for API access: API Key or OAuth2.
Output shape

The output format depends on the 'Output' parameter: 'Raw' returns every field from the API; 'Selected Fields' returns a subset of selected fields; 'Simplified' returns a compact object including overview text and references. The node supports batch processing of multiple input items and returns an output item per input. If used as an AI tool integration, output is always 'Simplified'. Errors for individual items are included in the output if 'Continue On Fail' is enabled.
Examples
Example 1: Get a simplified AI overview for the query 'how to improve website seo' from the US in English.
Set Search Query to 'how to improve website seo', leave Country Code as 'us', Language Code as 'en', and Output as 'Simplified' (default).
Example 2: Get selected fields including query, references, and text blocks for the query.
Set Search Query accordingly, select Output as 'Selected Fields', and choose 'query', 'references', and 'text_blocks' in the Fields to Include parameter.
