An n8n community node that runs the Hacker News Scraper — Stories, Jobs, Comments & Users API Apify
actor directly inside your workflow. Scrape Hacker News stories, comments, jobs, and user profiles via the official Firebase and Algolia APIs. No proxy, no auth. Supports top/new/best/ask/show/job feeds, full-text search, comment trees, and user data. Pay per result.

The actor runs on your own Apify account and usage — this node never embeds anyone else's token.

Installation

1. In n8n: Settings → Community Nodes → Install.
2. Enter the package name n8n-nodes-hacker-news-scraper and confirm.
3. Get a free Apify API token at console.apify.com → Settings → Integrations.

Usage

1. Add the Hacker News Scraper — Stories, Jobs, Comments & Users API node to your workflow.
2. In the node's Credentials, add your Apify API token (or connect via OAuth2).
3. Fill the actor's input fields (the node surfaces them as a form) and run.

To run on a schedule, put a Schedule Trigger in front of the node.
