Summary

Convert supplied HTML and optional CSS into a PDF through the PDFMunk API. Configure browser viewport and page readiness, and choose whether the result is returned as a URL response or a binary file.

Inputs

  • HTML Content (required) — HTML markup to render; defaults to <html>Hello HTML</html>.
  • CSS Content — CSS styles to apply to the HTML; defaults to empty.
  • Viewport Width — Browser viewport width in pixels; defaults to 1080.
  • Viewport Height — Browser viewport height in pixels; defaults to 720.
  • Output Format — Choose URL (default) for a JSON API response, or File for a binary PDF in the data property.
  • Wait Until — Browser lifecycle event to wait for before generating the PDF: DOM Content Loaded, Load (default), or Network Idle.
  • Wait Till — Additional delay after the selected lifecycle event. The UI describes seconds or milliseconds; the source passes this value directly as wait_till.
  • Output Filename — Filename used for the generated PDF in File mode, without the .pdf extension; defaults to document.
  • Timeout (in Seconds) — Request timeout, shown when Wait Until is Load; defaults to 300 seconds.
  • Dynamic Params — Optional key/value placeholder replacements sent as dynamic_params; entries with an empty key are ignored. For example, key {cert} and value name.

Output shape

One output item per input item, returned in the main output.

With Output Format set to URL, the item contains the API response body as JSON. With File, a successful response is binary PDF data in binary.data and JSON { "success": true }. HTTP errors with status 400 or higher are returned in JSON with a statusCode; other request errors follow n8n's normal error or continue-on-fail behavior. Requires the HTML to PDF API credentials.
