Review Response Generator

AI-generated

Summary

Submit reviews to the Apify review-response generator and return its generated responses when the run succeeds. Configure the required Apify credentials, reviews JSON, and business name; optional settings control response tone, length, language, variations, and instructions.

Inputs

  • Reviews (JSON) (required) — JSON array of reviews; each review is documented to include reviewerName, rating, text, and date.
  • Business Name (required) — Business name used to personalize responses.
  • Owner/Manager Name — Optional name for response sign-offs.
  • Brand Voice — Response tone: professional, friendly, casual, formal, or enthusiastic. Defaults to professional.
  • Response Length — Preferred response length: short, medium, or long. Defaults to medium.
  • Include Call-to-Action — Whether to request an action on positive reviews; defaults to true.
  • Custom Instructions — Additional instructions for response generation.
  • Variations Per Review — Number of response variations per review; defaults to 1. The UI describes a range of 1–3.
  • OpenAI API Key — Optional key passed to the generator for GPT-4 responses.
  • Auto-Detect Language — Whether to detect each review's language and respond in that language; defaults to true.
  • Demo Mode — Whether to run the generator in demo mode; defaults to false.
  • Timeout (seconds) — Maximum wait for the Apify run to finish; defaults to 180 seconds.
  • Apify API credentials (required) — The node requires the apifyApi credential and uses its API token to start the run and fetch results.

Output shape

One output item per input item, each containing a JSON object.

On a SUCCEEDED run, the object includes runId, status, responseCount, and responses fetched from the run's default dataset. For other run statuses, it includes runId, status, and a message. Invalid reviews JSON or request failures raise a node operation error. The node sends configured values to the Apify actor; it does not post responses to a review platform.

Examples
