Overview

The Lola Agent node is designed to send messages or interactive lists to the Lola Agent platform, which can be integrated with various chat sources such as Telegram, WhatsApp, etc. It supports sending plain text messages (with optional rephrasing/randomization) or interactive lists (up to 10 items). This node is useful for automating conversational flows, sending dynamic content, or providing users with selectable options in chatbots.

Practical examples:

• Sending a simple greeting or notification to a user on WhatsApp.
• Presenting a list of menu options for a user to choose from in a Telegram bot.
• Randomizing message phrasing for more natural conversations.

Properties

Name	Meaning
Type	The type of message to send. Options: Text, Interactive List.
Source ID	The source ID to send to Lola Agent (e.g., telegram, whatsapp, etc). Required.
Chat Identifier	A chat identifier to identify the chat session. Required.
Message Identifier	A message identifier to track the message.
Agent Message	The message to send to Lola Agent. Required when Type is "Text".
List Title	The title used to detect structure for the list. Required when Type is "Interactive List".
List Header	The title/header of the list. Required when Type is "Interactive List".
List Body	The sub-title or description of the list. Required when Type is "Interactive List".
Interactive List Array	The array containing strings or objects for the interactive list. Required when Type is "Interactive List".
List Array String Property	The property name to map from the string array; leave empty to use the string as is. Only shown for "Interactive List".
Randomize Text	Whether to rephrase the text in different ways. Only shown for "Text".
Enable Cache	Whether to enable cache for random phrases. Only shown if "Randomize Text" is enabled and Type is "Text".
Rephrase Text Sample Size	The number of phrases to use for rephrasing; leave empty to use default. Only shown if "Randomize Text" is enabled and Type is "Text".
Rephrasing Tone	The tone for rephrasing (e.g., informal, cheerful, sarcastic, ironic, happier, etc.); leave empty to use default. Only shown if "Randomize Text" is enabled and Type is "Text".

Output

The node outputs an object with the following structure:

• The lola_response field contains the response returned by the Lola Agent service after sending the message or interactive list. The exact structure depends on the Lola Agent API's response.

Note: This node does not output binary data.

Dependencies

• External Services: Requires access to the Lola Agent API.
• Credentials: Optionally uses lolaKeyApi credentials if configured.
• n8n Configuration: No special environment variables are required unless specified by the Lola Agent integration.

Troubleshooting

Common issues:

• Missing Required Fields: If required fields like "Source ID", "Chat Identifier", or "Agent Message"/list properties are missing, the node may fail to execute.
• Invalid List Array: For "Interactive List", ensure the array is properly formatted and does not exceed 10 items.
• Rephrasing Errors: If the NLP service cannot rephrase the message, the original text will be sent, and a log entry will indicate the failure.
• API Errors: Any errors from the Lola Agent API will be logged and thrown as n8n operation errors.

Error messages:

• "NLP Services can't rephrase this ...": Indicates that the rephrasing service could not generate alternatives. Try simplifying the input text.
• "Error: {...}": General error from the Lola Agent API or internal processing. Check the error details in the log for troubleshooting.
