n8n-nodes-mercateer

n8n community node for Mercateer, the AI front-office for trades and home-services businesses. It answers calls, quotes from a price book, books appointments, and runs an omnichannel inbox.

Install

In your n8n instance:

npm install n8n-nodes-mercateer

Restart n8n. The package ships two nodes (Mercateer and Mercateer Trigger) and one credential type (Mercateer API).

Authentication

  1. Sign in to Mercateer at https://mercateer.com.
  2. Open Settings → Developer and create an API key.
  3. In n8n, Credentials → New → Mercateer API and paste the key. The default base URL (https://api.mercateer.com/v1/mercateer) is correct for production.

Most operations need your organization ID. Run the Me → Get operation (or call GET /v1/me) and use memberships[0].orgId.

Mercateer Trigger

Subscribes to Mercateer front-office events and emits a workflow run per delivery. Supported events:

  • conversation.started
  • conversation.handoff_requested
  • conversation.closed
  • lead.captured
  • contact.created
  • quote.accepted
  • appointment.booked
  • appointment.rescheduled
  • call.completed
  • * (all events)

Activating the trigger registers a webhook endpoint at Mercateer pointing at the n8n production URL. Deactivating it deletes the endpoint so you do not leak orphan subscriptions. Signatures are verified per-delivery (HMAC-SHA256, 5-minute timestamp window).

Example workflows

Post new leads to Slack. Add the Mercateer Trigger node and select the Lead Captured event, then connect a Slack node set to Send a message. Every caller the agent captures lands in your team channel in real time.

Log completed calls to a spreadsheet. Use the Mercateer Trigger with the Call Completed event, then a Google Sheets node set to Append row. Map the caller, summary, and duration into columns to keep a running call log.

Book jobs from a website form. Start with an n8n Form Trigger (or any inbound webhook), then add the Mercateer node with Appointment → Book to drop the request straight onto your calendar. Run Appointment → Availability first if you want to offer open slots back to the customer.

Sync new contacts to your CRM. Trigger on Contact Created, then map the contact into a HubSpot, Pipedrive, or Google Contacts node so every caller is captured in your system of record.
