Contributing

Setting up the developer environment

In short, this means:

  1. Install n8n locally with npm i n8n -g
  2. Install the prettier VSCode extension
  3. Navigate to ~/.n8n and check if the directory custom is present
  4. If you don't have the directory, cd in that directory and run npm init
  5. Complete guide by n8n here

Publishing

These are the basic steps for working with the starter. For detailed guidance on creating and publishing nodes, refer to the documentation.

  1. Run npm run lint to check for errors or npm run lintfix to automatically fix errors when possible.
  2. Test your node locally. Refer to Run your node locally for guidance.
  3. Run npm publish
