n8n-nodes-parselyze

This is an n8n community node. It lets you use Parselyze in your n8n workflows.

Parselyze is a document parsing API: it extracts structured JSON from PDFs and images (invoices, receipts, ID documents, contracts, resumes…) using templates you define once.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation

Follow the installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation, and install n8n-nodes-parselyze.

Operations

  • Document
    • Parse: parse a document and return the extracted data.
    • Parse Async: submit a document as a background job. By default the node waits for the job to finish and returns its result. Turn off Wait for Completion to return the job ID right away.
  • Job
    • Get: get the status and result of an asynchronous job.
  • Template
    • Get Many: list the templates of your account.

Credentials

  1. Create a free account at parselyze.com (50 pages per month, no credit card).
  2. Create an API key in the dashboard, under API Keys.
  3. In n8n, create a Parselyze API credential and paste the key.

Compatibility

Built with @n8n/node-cli and tested with n8n 2.x.

Usage

The Document operations read the file from a binary field of the input item, data by default. For example, after a Gmail Trigger with Download Attachments enabled, set Input Binary Field to attachment_0.

The extracted fields are under result in the output item, with the shape defined by your template.
