Documentation

n8n-nodes-plottr

An n8n community node for
Plottr.

Nodes

  • Plottr Trigger — REST-hook trigger. Watch a property for a chosen event
    type (pin.created, task.completed, zone.ndvi_stress, …; the list is
loaded live from your workspace). n8n registers its webhook URL with Plottr on
activation and removes it on deactivation. Every delivery's HMAC-SHA256
signature is verified against the secret Plottr issues at subscribe time.
  • Plottr — actions:
    • Pin → Create (pins:write)
    • Event → Create (events:write)
    • Task → Create (tasks:write, Business tier)

Credentials

Plottr API — a personal API token from the Plottr Developer page
(Account → Developer) plus the Plottr URL (default https://plottr.app). The
credential's Test button calls GET /api/v1/me. Grant the token the scopes
your workflows use.

Install

From the n8n GUI (once published): Settings → Community nodes → Install →
n8n-nodes-plottr.

Local / manual:

npm install
npm run build
# copy the build into your n8n custom extensions dir:
# ~/.n8n/custom/ (or set N8N_CUSTOM_EXTENSIONS to a folder containing it)
mkdir -p ~/.n8n/custom/node_modules/n8n-nodes-plottr
cp -r dist package.json ~/.n8n/custom/node_modules/n8n-nodes-plottr/
# restart n8n

Publish

npm run build
npm publish # package name: n8n-nodes-plottr

The package already follows n8n's community-node conventions (the
n8n-community-node-package keyword, the n8n package.json block, the
n8n-nodes- name prefix), so it's eligible for submission to n8n's
verified community-node program after publishing.

REST-hook ↔ Plottr mapping

n8n hook method Plottr call
create (subscribe) POST /api/v1/properties/:pid/webhooks — captures the one-time secret
delete (unsubscribe) DELETE /api/v1/properties/:pid/webhooks/:id
checkExists GET /api/v1/properties/:pid/webhooks — confirms our endpoint id is still registered
webhook() (inbound) verifies X-Plottr-Signature, emits the parsed envelope

See ../README.md for the shared payload + header contract.
