Credentials

Uses the built-in Microsoft SharePoint OAuth2 API credential (microsoftSharePointOAuth2Api).

Setup

  1. In n8n, create a new Microsoft SharePoint OAuth2 API credential
  2. Configure OAuth2 via Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD):
    • Register an app in Azure AD with SharePoint permissions (Sites.Read.All, Sites.ReadWrite.All)
    • Set the redirect URI to https://your-n8n-instance/rest/oauth2-credential/callback
    • Grant admin consent for the required permissions
  3. Enter your SharePoint subdomain (e.g., tenant123 from https://tenant123.sharepoint.com)
  4. Complete the OAuth2 authorization flow

Installation

npm install n8n-nodes-pnpjs-sp

For n8n self-hosted, place the package in your n8n custom nodes directory or install globally.

Usage

Add a PnPJS SharePoint node to your workflow and select the resource and operation. Most operations support Simplify Output to flatten SharePoint's verbose JSON envelope.
