n8n Rainbow community node

An n8n community node for ALE Rainbow, powered by rainbow-node-sdk.

The Rainbow Admin node exposes the Rainbow SDK AdminService methods in the Companies and users management category. The credential's Test button logs in through the Rainbow SDK. Each execution logs in, invokes the selected Admin method, returns its result, and stops the SDK session cleanly.

Select a method and provide its positional SDK arguments as a JSON array. The method dropdown shows the expected signature. For example, Get All Users accepts:

["small", 0, 100, "loginEmail"]

Use null when an optional positional argument must be skipped while a later argument is supplied.

Credential fields

• loginEmail: Rainbow account email
• password: Rainbow account password
• appId: Rainbow application ID
• secretId: Rainbow application secret (passed to the SDK as appSecret)
• hostname: official, sandbox, or a dedicated AIO hostname

Build

npm install
npm run build

Manual installation on self-hosted n8n

Create a local tarball:

npm run pack:local

On the n8n host, copy the generated .tgz file and install it in the n8n custom nodes directory:

mkdir -p ~/.n8n/nodes
cd ~/.n8n/nodes
npm install /path/to/n8n-nodes-rainbow-node-sdk-0.2.0.tgz

Restart n8n, create a Rainbow Account credential, and add the Rainbow Admin node to a workflow.

For Docker deployments, install the tarball in the persistent /home/node/.n8n/nodes volume and restart the container.
