Summary

Evaluate each input item against configured business rules, assign it a decision, and route it to the matching decision output. If no rule matches, use the configured default decision.

Inputs

• Default Decision (required) — Decision to use when no rule matches; defaults to Deny. Available decisions are Allow, Escalate, Silent, Deny, and Error.
• Business Rules — Add ordered rules, each with one filter condition and a decision (defaults to Allow). Every matching rule is recorded when enabled; the highest-priority decision wins, with priority ordered Allow, Escalate, Silent, Deny, Error.
• Output Field Name — Field for the final decision in each output item; defaults to _decision. A blank value also falls back to _decision.
• Include Matched Rules — When enabled, adds matched_rules, an array of matching rules with their 1-based rule index and decision. Defaults to false.

Output shape

Items split across dynamically configured main outputs, one per decision used by a rule or the default decision.

Each output item preserves the input JSON and binary data, adds the decision under the configured output field, and retains item linking. Rules are all evaluated; the highest-priority matching decision determines routing. Filter evaluation failures produce the Error decision. With Continue On Fail enabled, unexpected execution errors also add an error field with a technical message; otherwise the node throws.
