n8n-nodes-sendoutcards
An n8n community node for SendOutCards — send real, printed cards and run campaigns
straight from a workflow, using the SendOutCards public GraphQL API.
It covers the entire public API (introspected live), grouped into friendly operations, with guided
fields + dropdowns for non-coders and JSON / raw-GraphQL escape hatches for power users.
Operations
| Resource | Operations |
|---|---|
| Card (custom card art, as a card-line batch) | Send Cards · Get Batch Status · List Batches · Finalize Batch · Cancel Batch · Retry Batch |
| Campaign (your pre-designed SOC campaigns) | Send to Contacts · Get · List |
| Order | Get · List |
| Print Shop Order (bulk print runs) | Create · Get · List · Cancel |
| Advanced | Run GraphQL (any query/mutation) · Introspect Schema |
Trigger (polling)
The SendOutCards Trigger starts a workflow when something changes. SendOutCards has no webhooks or
subscriptions, so it polls on a schedule and fires only on genuinely new or changed items (state is
kept in the workflow's static data; the first poll seeds state and fires nothing, so you don't get a
backlog flood). Pick an Event:
| Group | Events |
|---|---|
| Card Batch | Completed (Mailed) · Failed · Created · Status Changed |
| Print Shop Order | Printed · Fulfilled · Created · Status Changed |
| Order | Created |
| Campaign | Created · Updated |
The two Status Changed events add a Fire on Statuses multi-select (leave empty to fire on every
transition). Card Batch — Completed / Failed is the usual send-confirmation loop.
Credentials
Create a SendOutCards OAuth2 API credential:
- Register an OAuth2 app with SendOutCards to get a Client ID and Client Secret.
- In this credential, n8n shows its OAuth Redirect URL (e.g.
https://<your-n8n>/rest/oauth2-credential/callback).
Add that exact URL to your SendOutCards app's allowed redirect URIs. - Paste the Client ID + Client Secret, then Connect — n8n handles the token and refresh.
Endpoints (preset, fixed): authorize https://www.sendoutcards.com/oauth2/authorize/,
token https://www.sendoutcards.com/oauth2/token/, GraphQL https://www.sendoutcards.com/public_api/graphql/.
Sending a card (the important one)
Card → Send Cards builds a card-line batch. Pick:
- Card Type (Two/Three Panel, Flat, Postcard), Orientation, Paper Type — dropdowns.
- Card art — a URL per panel (Front required; Left/Right/Center/Spread/Back optional).
SendOutCards references hosted images by URL — it does not accept file uploads. Host each panel
(e.g. with an S3/HTTP upload node upstream) and paste the URL. The panel URLs map tofront / left / right / center / spread / back. - Recipients — guided address fields (repeatable).
address2,userVerified, and a uniqueexternalReferenceare filled in for you if left blank. - Finalize & Mail — on = mail now; off = leave a reviewable draft on your SOC account (finalize later
with Finalize Batch).
Prefer full control? Set Input Method → Cards JSON and pass the raw CardLineInput[].
Lists
Every List operation supports Return All (pages through everything) or a Limit.
Notes
- The node targets the public API exactly as introspected; new SOC operations are reachable immediately via
Advanced → Run GraphQL. externalReferenceIdon a card line must be unique — SOC rejects duplicates. Left blank, the node
generates one per run.
