sona.to Trigger
Starts a workflow when one of these happens in your account:
- A post was published
- A post failed to publish
- A site audit finished
- A site audit failed to complete
Publishing a workflow registers a webhook on your sona.to account. Unpublishing it removes the webhook again.
Each delivery is signed by sona.to, and the trigger checks that signature before starting the workflow. A request with a missing, malformed, stale or incorrect signature is rejected.
Using this node with an AI agent
The sona.to node can be attached to an AI Agent node as a tool. Two settings matter, and n8n leaves both to you.
Let the agent fill the fields it needs. Click the sparkle button next to each parameter the agent should control, for example Caption on Create a post. Parameters without it keep whatever value you set by hand, which is useful for anything you do not want the agent to change.
Give the tool a description the model can act on. By default n8n derives one from the resource and operation, which reads like "Create a post in sona.to". That is enough for the agent to find the tool but not to use it well. Set Tool Description to Set Manually and write something specific.
For Create a post:
Create a social media post on the user's connected sona.to channels. Call the
channels tool first to get real channel IDs, since the accounts field will not
accept an invented one.
An agent creating posts needs a channels tool attached as well, otherwise it has no way to learn the IDs. Attach a second sona.to tool with resource Channel and operation Get Many.
Credentials
Authentication uses an API token.
- Sign in to your sona.to account.
- Open the API section of your dashboard.
- Create a token and give it a name, for example n8n.
- Choose the scopes. Read is enough to list and retrieve. Write is required to create, change or delete anything, including uploading files and starting audits.
- Copy the token. It is shown once.
- In n8n, create a new sona.to API credential and paste the token in.
Use Test connection to check the token before saving.
Compatibility
Requires n8n 1.60.0 or later.
The SEO operations need the SEO product on your sona.to plan, on top of API access. Without it those operations return a permission error, and the rest of the node still works.
