POC N8N Weather Node

This is a Proof-of-Concept custom node for n8n that fetches weather data from OpenWeatherMap using a custom credential.

Installation

This node is installed as a custom node package n8n-nodes-weather.

Deployment

Use the deployment script:

./deployment/scripts/deploy_poc_weather.sh

Troubleshooting

If the node is not visible in n8n:

1. Restart n8n: Sometimes a full restart is required.
2. Check Logs: docker logs root-n8n-1 to see if there are errors loading the package.
3. Use Troubleshoot Script:

   ./deployment/scripts/troubleshoot_n8n.sh
   

4. Verify Package Name: Ensure the package name in package.json starts with n8n-nodes-.

Usage

1. Search for Weather Full (POC) in the n8n editor.
2. Add the node to your workflow.
3. Create a new credential "Weather Full API (POC)".
   • API URL: https://api.openweathermap.org/data/2.5/weather
   • API Key: Your OpenWeatherMap API Key.
4. Enter a City (e.g., Berlin).
5. Execute the node.
