Bluesky Trigger

AI-generated

Summary

Subscribe to Bluesky repository events or moderation label updates over WebSocket and emit each accepted event as an n8n item. Optionally filter repository events, limit the number captured, and reconnect after connection loss.

Inputs

  • Stream Type (required) — Choose Repository Events (Firehose), the default, or Label Updates.
  • Service Endpoint — WebSocket service base URL; defaults to wss://bsky.network. The node appends the stream-specific endpoint path.
  • Max Events — Maximum number of matching events to emit; 0 means unlimited.
  • Filter by Collection — For repository events, keep commit messages containing an operation whose collection includes this value.
  • Filter by DID — For repository events, keep messages from this repository DID.
  • Filter by Operation — For repository events, keep messages containing an operation matching Create, Update, or Delete. All is the default.
  • Auto Reconnect — Reconnect after a WebSocket error or closure; enabled by default.
  • Reconnect Interval — Delay in milliseconds before reconnecting when automatic reconnection is enabled; defaults to 5000.
  • Bluesky API credentials — For Label Updates, provide identifier, app password, and service URL so the node can authenticate. If credentials are missing or invalid, the node emits an error item.

Output shape

A stream of individual n8n items, one per accepted event; connection or authentication errors may also be emitted as items.

Repository events are decoded into commit metadata and an operations array; filters are applied to the repository DID and operations. Label messages are decoded and tagged with type "label". Each event item includes eventCount and receivedAt. The stream stops after Max Events is reached or the trigger is closed.
