AI-generated

Summary

Uploads an image from a binary field to Truthscan storage, submits it for AI-generation detection, polls until the result is ready, and routes the item to an AI or Real output based on the score.

Inputs

  • binaryPropertyName (required) — Name of the binary property on the incoming item holding the image file (default "data"). Supported formats include JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, AVIF, BMP, TIFF, GIF, SVG and PDF (max 10 MB per the operation description). Content type is taken from the file extension first, then the binary MIME type.
  • generateAnalysisDetails — If enabled, requests a deep analysis (tags, agreement, confidence, key indicators, reasoning, visual patterns, recommendations) and keeps polling until it finishes, which adds time. Default false.
  • options.generateHeatmap — Generate a heatmap highlighting AI-generated regions (only for AI-classified images). Default true.
  • options.heatmapOverlayed — Blend the heatmap onto the original image; if off, a transparent RGBA heatmap is returned. Only sent when heatmap is enabled. Default true.
  • options.heatmapNormalized — Normalize the heatmap activation map. Only sent when heatmap is enabled. Default true.
  • options.waitForHeatmap — Keep polling until the heatmap is no longer pending. Default false.
  • options.generatePreview — Generate a preview image URL for the uploaded file. Default true.
  • options.model — Model or routing hint, default "generic".
  • options.pollIntervalMs — Delay between status checks in ms (min 250, default 2000).
  • options.maxPollAttempts — Maximum status checks before giving up (min 1, default 30).
  • options.expiration — Lifetime of the presigned upload URL in seconds (default 3600).
  • options.storageBaseUrl — Override the storage host used to build the detection URL when the API returns only a file_path. Empty uses the default production bucket.

Output shape

Three outputs: "AI" and "Real" contain the Truthscan result JSON plus a classification object (classification, isAI, score, label, tier); "Raw Output" contains the unmodified Truthscan result for every item.

Classification uses the numeric result score: 0–20 Real, 20–50 Likely Real, 50–80 Likely Synthetic (AI), 80–100 Synthetic (AI); score ≥50 routes to AI. If no numeric score exists, it falls back to matching result_details.final_result text. If the document is done but heatmap/analysis is still pending when polling runs out, the last done result is returned; if it never reaches done, the node errors on timeout. A failed/error status throws. With Continue On Fail, failed items appear only in Raw Output as {error: message}. Requires the Truthscan API credential (API key).

Examples

Example 1: Screen user-uploaded images and route AI-generated ones to moderation

Binary field "data"; defaults for options. Connect the AI output to a review step and the Real output to publishing.

Example 2: Get a full explanation and heatmap for a suspicious image

Enable Generate Analysis Details; in Options set Generate Heatmap on and Wait for Heatmap on; raise Max Poll Attempts to 60.
