Summary

Send a message to a selected TypingMind AI agent, optionally including conversation history, and receive a response.

Inputs

• Agent (required) — Select the AI agent to send the message to from the available TypingMind agents.
• Message (required) — The user message text to send to the AI agent.
• Conversation History — An optional JSON array of prior messages to provide conversational context; leave empty to start a new conversation.
• Options — Optional settings, including whether to return the full API response or just the AI assistant's reply message.

Output shape

A JSON object containing either the assistant's reply message and updated conversation history, or the full API response if requested.

If 'Return Full Response' option is false or omitted, the output JSON includes a 'message' field with the agent's reply text and a 'conversationHistory' field which appends the new messages; if true, the entire raw API response JSON is returned.

Examples

Example 1: Send a greeting message to a specific AI agent without prior conversation context.

Set 'Agent' to the desired AI agent, enter the greeting in 'Message', and leave 'Conversation History' empty or as '[]'. The node returns the agent's reply message.

Example 2: Continue an existing conversation by providing previous messages to maintain context.

Fill 'Conversation History' with previous messages as a JSON array to provide context; message from 'User' role added automatically. The node returns the agent's reply and updated conversation history.

Example 3: Retrieve the full raw API response from TypingMind for advanced handling.

Enable the 'Return Full Response' option under 'Options' to receive the complete JSON response from the API instead of just the assistant's message.
