n8n-nodes-video-screenshot-generator

An n8n node for generating screenshots from video with selected frequency. Can't do single screenshot.

Features

• Screenshots: Making screenshots from video and providing them as an Array of Base64 strings. Optionally, generated screenshots may be left in a 'screenshots' directory near a video file.

Prerequisites

ffmpeg needs to be installed on the environment.

Self hosted installation

As n8n image is restricted to install such applications,
custom image can be built:

    ffmpeg \
    libc6-compat

RUN npm install -g n8n

USER node

WORKDIR /home/node/.n8n

CMD ["n8n", "start"]

Installation

Option 1: n8n Community Package

Install directly from npm:

npm install n8n-nodes-video-screenshot-generator

Option 2: n8n Self-hosted Server

1. Open n8n
2. Go to Settings → Community Nodes
3. Install: n8n-nodes-video-screenshot-generator

Option 3: Docker

Add to your environment variables or docker-compose:
