Summary

Send a sequence of chat messages to a selected Doubao AI model and receive a generated chat completion response.

Inputs

• Model (required) — Select the Doubao model variant to use for generating the chat completion.
• Messages (required) — Provide one or more message objects, each with a sender role (system, user, or assistant) and the corresponding text content, to form the chat input history.
• Options — Configure additional generation parameters such as temperature, top_p, max_tokens, streaming, frequency and presence penalties, and stop sequences that influence the chat completion's style, length, and stopping behavior.

Output shape

a list of JSON objects, each containing the chat completion response from the model corresponding to each input item

The response JSON structure is defined by the Volcengine ARK chat completions API. Supports multiple input items processed individually. Errors can be returned per item if continue on fail is enabled.
