n8n-nodes-wasync

Verified by n8n (7 Sep 2026) — this node carries the verified badge in the n8n node panel.

This is an n8n community node. It lets you use WASync in your n8n workflows — sending and receiving WhatsApp messages from the WhatsApp connections your CRM already has set up.

WASync connects WhatsApp to your CRM. This node uses WASync's own Platform API, so it works the same way regardless of which CRM your WhatsApp connections live in.

n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Installation

Two ways to install, depending on where you run n8n:

  • n8n Cloud or self-hosted — node panel search. Open the nodes panel and
search for "WASync". As a verified node it installs straight from there.

  • Self-hosted only — Community Nodes settings. Go to Settings →
    Community Nodes
    , select Install, and enter:

    n8n-nodes-wasync

Or follow the general installation guide in the n8n community nodes documentation.

Getting an API key

  1. No WASync account yet? Create one free at developers.wasync.app/register — every account gets its own workspace; connect a WhatsApp number to it (QR or pairing code) as described in the n8n guide.
  2. Go to developers.wasync.app/keys, pick the workspace and create a new API key.
  3. The key is shown once — copy it right away.
  4. In n8n, create a WASync API credential and paste the key in.

Don't have a WASync account yet? WASync has a 7-day free trial. Pricing (per WhatsApp number, per month, USD): WAPP $19 (QR-based, no Meta account needed) / WABA $29 (official WhatsApp Business API) / API add-on $12 (needed to use this node with a given number). See wasync.app for details.

Operations

Connection

  • List — Get the WhatsApp numbers connected to your account, with their status.

Message

  • Send — Send a WhatsApp text message from one of your connections.
  • Get Many — Retrieve recent messages, optionally filtered to one connection.
  • Mark as Read — Send a WhatsApp read receipt (blue ticks) for a customer's messages.

WASync Trigger

Starts a workflow when a WhatsApp event happens: a message is received, a message's delivery status changes, or a connection goes online/offline. On activation the node registers your n8n webhook URL with WASync and stores the signing secret it's given; every delivery is signature-verified before your workflow runs.

Two things to know before you rely on this:

  • WASync currently has one webhook endpoint per account. Activating a WASync Trigger workflow points that endpoint at it; if you activate a second WASync Trigger workflow later, it takes over the endpoint instead. Run one at a time, or route everything through a single trigger workflow.
  • Webhooks are only delivered for WAPP/QR connections. WABA (official WhatsApp Business API) connections don't send webhooks today — for those, poll with the Message → Get Many operation instead.

Credentials

This node uses a single credential type, WASync API: your Platform API key as a Bearer token. Create one at developers.wasync.app/keys — see Getting an API key above.

Compatibility

Built and tested against n8n's community node CLI tooling with n8n-workflow as a peer dependency (n8nNodesApiVersion: 1). No known version incompatibilities.
