n8n-nodes-zagelcast

Community node for n8n that integrates with the ZagelCast WhatsApp API.

ZagelCast (Action Node)

Send WhatsApp messages and manage webhook config:

• Send Text — plain text message
• Send Image — image with optional caption
• Send Document — file/PDF/etc with caption
• Send Audio — voice or audio file
• Send Video — video with caption
• Send Location — lat/lng pin with label
• Send Contact — vCard contact card
• Send Poll — poll with multiple options
• Mark as Seen — blue ticks on a message
• Start/Stop Typing — typing indicator
• Get/Set Webhook Config — manage your webhook URL

ZagelCast Trigger (Webhook Node)

Receive real-time events from ZagelCast:

• Incoming Message — new message received
• Any Message — sent or received (for CRM mirroring)
• Message Delivery Update — sent/delivered/read status
• Message Reaction — emoji reactions
• Message Deleted / Edited
• Session / Connection status
• Group Join / Leave

Output data includes convenience fields:

• _from — sender phone/JID
• _to — recipient chat ID
• _body — message text
• _type — message type (text, image, etc.)
• _messageId — message ID
• _isGroup — boolean, true if group chat
• _isMe — boolean, true if sent by you

Installation

Option A — npm (recommended)

cd ~/.n8n
npm install n8n-nodes-zagelcast

Option B — Local (development)

# 1. Clone this repo
git clone https://github.com/Vexxo-Dev/n8n-nodes-zagelcast
cd n8n-nodes-zagelcast

# 2. Build
npm install
npm run build

# 3. Link into n8n
cd ~/.n8n/custom
npm link /path/to/n8n-nodes-zagelcast

Then restart n8n.

In n8n → Credentials → New → ZagelCast API, enter:

Webhook Signature Verification

ZagelCast sends X-Webhook-Signature as HMAC-SHA256 of the full JSON body.
Set your Webhook Secret in credentials and the trigger node will verify automatically.
