Overview

Provide 8x8 SMS operations for n8n workflow builders integrating the 8x8 communications platform.

Nodes & Operations

EightByEight (8x8)

Manage SMS messages via the 8x8 API for n8n workflow automation contexts such as campaign outreach and notification handling, with focus on reliability and ease of integration for messaging use cases that require structured SMS delivery and batch management within the 8x8 ecosystem, and aligns with builders extending n8n with enterprise-grade communications capabilities via a well-documented API surface, though currently in active development with more node functionality expected in subsequent releases, and operations are limited to SMS resource types at this version stage, with node summaries emphasizing role over exhaustive operation listing to avoid filler and keep focus on practical integration goals, and the node is designed to fit naturally into workflows that need to send, batch, cancel, or acknowledge SMS through the 8x8 platform, making it suitable for teams already using or evaluating 8x8 for business messaging who want to prototype or deploy automated flows without custom coding, and the node’s current state reflects a work-in-progress status where core SMS primitives are exposed but may undergo refinements in future patches, and credentials are not yet defined in the package metadata, so setup relies on standard 8x8 API key or token mechanisms that the workflow builder would configure externally before use, and null values for operation summaries indicate that detailed per-operation behavior is omitted here but expected to align with the 8x8 API specification once the package reaches a stable release, and the node is oriented toward practical SMS integration rather than theoretical capabilities, making it a pragmatic choice for n8n users needing immediate, albeit preliminary, 8x8 SMS connectivity within their automations.
