PDFGate Trigger

Starts a workflow when PDFGate sends a webhook:

  • Envelope Sent (envelope.sent)
  • Envelope Completed (envelope.completed)

The webhook is registered automatically when the workflow is activated and removed on deactivation. Deliveries are verified with HMAC-SHA256 signatures (x-pdfgate-signature).

Local development: PDFGate requires a publicly reachable webhook URL. Run n8n with n8n start --tunnel, or expose your instance (e.g. ngrok http 5678) and start n8n with WEBHOOK_URL=https://<your-tunnel-domain>.

Development

npm install
npm run build # compile to dist/ and copy icons + codex files
npm run lint

Link into a local n8n instance:

mkdir -p ~/.n8n/custom && cd ~/.n8n/custom
npm install /path/to/n8n-nodes-pdfgate

Restart n8n after each build.
