Liquid templates and output formats
The generation request stays { templateId, data, documentName, format }; nested JSON, arrays and _partials are passed through unchanged. Output choices are .docx, .pdf, .xlsx, .odt, .ods, .html, .md, .txt, .csv, .tsv, .xml. DOCX templates export DOCX/PDF/HTML/TXT; other templates retain their format. The default stays .docx. Select .xlsx explicitly for an Excel template.
These additive format choices require the Liquid-enabled backend. Install/publish the updated connector after deploying that backend; source changes do not update installed external connections automatically.
