n8n Community Node for Microsoft SharePoint Online & OneDrive

This is an n8n community node package that provides comprehensive integration with Microsoft SharePoint Online and OneDrive across any cloud server location (Global Public Cloud, US Government GCC High / DoD, China 21Vianet, Germany, or custom sovereign cloud deployments).

Features

• Safe Execution Mode: Delete operations have been intentionally omitted across all resources to prevent accidental data deletion or user mistake.
• Cascading Dropdown UI with Subfolder Drilling: Browse Site/Subsite → Document Library/Drive → Folder → File dynamically directly in the n8n UI, with interactive drill-down into subfolders (📂 Current Folder, ⬆️ Up to Parent, 📁 Child Folders), plus custom path/ID overrides for dynamic expressions.
• Unlimited Folder Nesting Depth: Allows selecting and navigating folders at any depth level (e.g. /Finance/2026/Q3/Reports/Final/Approved) without 3-level folder restriction.
• Subsite & Hierarchy Support: Works with site collections and subsites at any hierarchy depth (/sites/Marketing/Subsite1/Nested2).
• Multi-Cloud & Server Location Support: Global Microsoft 365, US Government GCC High, US Government DoD, China 21Vianet, Germany, or custom server / sovereign cloud endpoints.
• Dual Authentication: OAuth2 (User authorization code flow) or App Registration (Client Credentials service principal flow).
• OneDrive & SharePoint Integration:
  • File & Folder Operations: Upload (supports large files up to GBs via chunked upload session), download binary files, list subfolders/children, get metadata, create folders, move/rename, copy, keyword search across drive, and create shareable links.
  • List Operations: Create, read, and update SharePoint lists with templates.
  • List Item Operations: Create, read, and update list items with OData filters and JSON fields.
  • Permission / Sharing: List permissions on files/folders and invite recipients with view/edit access.
  • Custom API Call: Perform custom GET, POST, PUT, or PATCH HTTP requests against Microsoft Graph API or SharePoint Online REST endpoints.

Credentials

Supports both:

1. Microsoft SharePoint Online & OneDrive OAuth2 API (msSharePointOAuth2Api): User authorization code grant flow with customizable scopes and cloud environment.
2. Microsoft SharePoint Online App Registration (msSharePointApi): Client Credentials grant flow (clientId, clientSecret, tenantId) for headless daemon background workflows.
