Software Teams HITL
Channel-agnostic human-in-the-loop node (AC3/AC4). Supports Slack, Email, n8n-notification, and Discord with genuine multi-round back-and-forth. When an upstream agent returns needs-input, posts the question via the selected channel, pauses the workflow, and resumes the same agent with the human's reply. Re-parks for additional rounds until the agent returns ok or error.

AI-generatedSummary
Sends an agent’s question to a human through Discord, Slack, email, or an n8n notification, then pauses the workflow for a reply. On resume, it adds the answer to the agent context and continues; if more input is needed, it can ask another question and wait again.
Inputs
- Channel — Choose Auto, Discord, Email, N8n Notification, or Slack. Auto uses the upstream envelope’s optional
hitlChannelhint and defaults to Discord when no hint is present; an explicit selection takes precedence. - Destination (required) — The destination for the selected channel: Slack or Discord channel ID, email address, or n8n notification target identifier.
- Wait Timeout (Hours) — Maximum time to wait for a human reply, in hours; defaults to 24. Set the
WEBHOOK_URLenvironment variable to the public n8n URL so channel servers can reach the resume URL.
Output shape
A single item carrying the agent result or the current needs-input envelope.
Passes
okanderrorinputs through unchanged. For a question, saves conversation state and pauses execution; after a reply, resumes the agent with the answer in context. Additional questions cause another wait cycle. Conversation state is cleared when the agent returnsokorerror.
