Summary

Update an existing Taiga task by specifying its Task ID and modifying its properties within a project.

Inputs

• Project Name or ID — ID of the project containing the task; used to load dependent options like assignees, milestones, statuses, tags, and user stories.
• Task ID (required) — ID of the task to update.
• Update Fields — Collection of task properties to update, including assignee, blocked status and note, description, milestone, status, subject, tags, taskboard order, user story, and user story order.

Output shape

a single record containing the updated task object returned by Taiga API.

Requires the specified task to exist. Update will include a version parameter fetched automatically for concurrency control. If no fields are specified for update, the operation will throw an error. The output includes the full API response for the updated task.

Examples

Example 1: Update task '12345' in project 'MyProject' to assign user '42', set status to 'In Progress', and update the subject.

Set Project Name or ID to 'MyProject', Task ID to '12345', and in Update Fields set Assignee Name or ID to '42', Status Name or ID to 'In Progress', and Subject to the new subject text.
