Summary

Create a new Approx project with specified parameters including name, associated authority ID, takeoff and report template IDs, carriage percentage, and optional expansion of custom pricings.

Inputs

• Name (required) — Display name for the project.
• Authority ID (required) — Authority (pricing authority) ID to associate with the project.
• Takeoff Template ID (required) — Takeoff template ID to apply to the project.
• Report Template ID (required) — Report template ID to assign to the project.
• Carriage Percentage (required) — Carriage percentage between 0 and 1 (e.g. 0.04 represents 4%).
• Expand Custom Pricings — Boolean flag indicating whether to expand custom pricings into individual rows; defaults to false.

Output shape

a single JSON object representing the created project.

The output JSON reflects the newly created project as returned by the Approx API, including all standard project fields. Errors during creation will surface as node execution errors unless "Continue on Fail" is enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Create a new project named "Office Build" linked to a specific authority, takeoff template, and report template with a 5% carriage percentage and custom pricings expanded.

Set 'projectName' to "Office Build", 'authorityId' to the authority's ID string, 'takeoffTemplateId' and 'reportTemplateId' to their respective template IDs, 'carriagePercentage' to 0.05, and 'expandCustomPricings' to true.
