Update Record
AI-generatedSummary
Updates a specified NetSuite record using the current input item’s JSON as the update body. Choose a record type and provide the record ID; for custom records, also provide the Custom Record Script ID.
Inputs
- Record Type (required) — NetSuite record type to update. For a custom record, select Custom Record and provide its script ID.
- Custom Record Script ID (required) — Shown for custom records; the internal identifier of the custom record type, typically beginning with
customrecord. - ID (required) — Record identifier. Prefix it with
eid:to target the record by its external identifier. - Input item JSON — Sent as the update request body for each input item. The UI does not mark an input item as required.
- Replace Sublists — Comma-separated sublist names whose lines should be replaced with the lines in the request. Sublists not listed have lines added.
- Replace Selected Fields (required) — When enabled, asks the update request to replace selected fields, including body fields. The source applies this option only when Replace Sublists is blank; if both are set, Replace Sublists takes precedence.
- API Version — The operation exposes V1, which is the default.
- Options: Full Response — Exposed in Options, but the update implementation does not read it; the operation returns its constructed success result.
- Options: Max Retries — Retry count for rate-limit (429) and server errors; defaults to 5, and 0 disables retries.
Output shape
A single item per input item, containing a JSON object with success and, when the response includes a location, id and location.
The node calls NetSuite’s record update endpoint. It does not return the updated record body. If the request fails, normal node error handling applies; with Continue On Fail enabled, an error item is returned.
