Summary

Retrieve full details for a specific place on Google Maps by providing its name or full Google Maps URL.

Inputs

• Place Query (required) — Venue name or full Google Maps URL identifying the place to retrieve.
• Additional Fields — Optional parameters to customize the request, including the 'Language' code for the place details response (default is 'en').
• Request Options — Settings to control HTTP request behaviors such as batching, SSL certificate validation, proxy usage, and request timeout.

Output shape

a single record containing detailed information about the specified place

The operation sends a GET request to '/gmaps/places' with the 'query' parameter set to the Place Query input. If provided, the Language parameter is included as a query string to receive localized results. The output includes detailed place data as returned by the ByCrawl API.

Examples

Example 1: Retrieve details for 'Statue of Liberty' in English.

Set 'Place Query' to 'Statue of Liberty' and 'Language' to 'en' (default).

Example 2: Retrieve details for a place using its full Google Maps URL, requesting results in Japanese.

Set 'Place Query' to the full Google Maps URL of the place and 'Language' to 'ja'.
