Claude Auth (CLI)Install

Summary

Initiates OAuth browser login for Claude CLI, generating a PKCE code verifier/challenge and returning an authorization URL.

Inputs

• loginConfigDir — Directory for Claude OAuth tokens and login sessions; overrides the credentials config dir.
• useTempConfigDir — Whether to create a temporary config directory to force a fresh login session.
• loginWithClaudeAi — Whether to use claude.ai (https://claude.ai/oauth/authorize) instead of console.anthropic.com (https://console.anthropic.com/oauth/authorize).

Output shape

ok: true, step: 'start', loginUrl, loginSessionId, redirectUri, loginScopes, configDir, loginConfigDirTemporary

loginUrl targets claude.ai or console.anthropic.com based on loginWithClaudeAi; loginSessionId is a random UUID; loginScopes are the hardcoded DEFAULT_SCOPES ['org:create_api_key','user:profile','user:inference','user:sessions:claude_code']; loginConfigDirTemporary is true only when useTempConfigDir is enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Basic login initiation

Leave all three parameters at their defaults. The node returns a loginUrl pointing to console.anthropic.com and a loginSessionId to store or pass to Browser Login (Complete).
