Presentation → Generate & Poll
AI-generatedSummary
Generate a presentation deck from a user-defined prompt (without using a template) and continuously poll the generation status until completion or timeout.
Inputs
- Prompt (required) — Text prompt describing what you want Chronicle to generate in the presentation deck (e.g., "A 5-slide pitch deck for our new product").
- Attachments — Optional files (uploaded via the Chronicle: Upload Attachment operation) to provide context or grounding for the generation.
- Narrative Type — Selects the narrative archetype Chronicle uses to structure the deck (e.g., Pitch, Showcase, Auto). Defaults to Auto.
- Rewrite Style — Controls how much Chronicle rewrites your input text, from subtle edits to strong rewriting or no changes. Defaults to Subtle.
- Section Count — Specifies the number of sections in the deck; set to "auto" to let Chronicle decide. Defaults to "auto".
- Language — Language code for the generated deck, such as English (US), Spanish, French, etc. Defaults to English (US).
Output shape
a single item per input containing the fully generated presentation data as JSON
The operation synchronously starts generation, then polls the generation status endpoint every 3 seconds up to 10 minutes until the status is "completed". If generation fails or times out, an error is thrown or returned in the item (if continueOnFail is enabled). Progress messages are sent to the UI during polling. The returned presentation data is paired with the original input item.
